- Install a header/footer injection plugin (for example Insert Headers and Footers or your SEO plugin’s equivalent if it supports header code).
- Open Settings → Insert Headers and Footers (or your plugin’s header-code screen).
- Paste your Trace snippet into the Scripts in Header (or Header) field.
- Save.
The snippet must load in the <head> on every public page you want to track. Avoid pasting only into a single page’s content unless that matches how your traffic works.
After saving, use Verify installation on your Trace Overview to confirm data is coming in.
